Full Journal pdf1998-05-12 House Journal Page 3918 HB 459 Representative Porter moved and asked unanimous consent that the House consider the Senate message (page 3916) on the following at this time: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 459(FIN) am "An Act establishing new eligibility for medical assistance for certain disabled persons and giving their eligibility for services the highest priority among optional services and groups under the medical assistance program; amending the definition of 'personal care services in a recipient's home' as used in the medical assistance program; moving midwife services from being the first to being the 14th service eliminated under the medical assistance program when there is insufficient funding; and adjusting the priority of optional services and optional eligible groups under the medical assistance program in order to reflect the new priorities given to the newly-eligible disabled persons and to midwife services but without otherwise changing the relative order of the other optional services and optional groups." and SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 459(RLS) "An Act establishing new eligibility for medical assistance for certain disabled persons and giving their eligibility for services the highest priority among optional services and groups under the medical assistance program; amending the definition of 'personal care services in a recipient's home' as used in the medical assistance program; moving midwife services from being the first to being the seventh service eliminated under the medical assistance program when there is insufficient funding; adjusting the priority of optional services and optional eligible groups under the medical assistance program in order to reflect the new priorities given to the newly-eligible disabled persons and to midwife services but without otherwise changing the relative order of the other optional services and optional groups; relating to catastrophic illness assistance; establishing a medical assistance program for chronic and acute medical conditions; and providing for an effective date." 1998-05-12 House Journal Page 3919 HB 459 (New title to be authorized by SCR 31.) There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Porter moved that the House concur in the Senate amendment to CSHB 459(FIN) am, thus adopting SCS CSHB 459(RLS), and recommended that the members vote yes. The question being: "Shall the House concur in the Senate amendment to CSHB 459(FIN) am?" Representative Porter moved and asked unanimous consent that the roll call on the passage of the bill be considered the roll call on the effective date clause. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The Chief Clerk was instructed to so notify the Senate. SCS CSHB 459(RLS) was referred to the Chief Clerk for enrollment.
